I flew home and back to Arizona for Christmas and it was good, but let me just say I HATE full planes. I love having the ability to sit on either the window or asile doesn’t really matter, but it is always nice to have that center seat open. It allows for me to spread out a little bit and to palce on computer on the tray table of that seat so that I am not staring right at the screen. Well I thought this may happen on the first flight, but alas right at the end, a rather large man wanted to sit in the middle…..this was not a good thing so I was squished agaist the arm rest leading into the asile the entire trip. Which note to Boeing (because i am sure someone from there reads my blog) the arm rest for the asile should be included in the arm rests that can go up so that a person does not have it poking into their side the entire time!!!!! So it wasn’t to bad becuase the winds (or I think the Lord) were with me and it only took us about 2 1/2 hours to get home…Should take 3 which made up nicely for leaving Phoenix an hour late.

Christmas was good, and I had a great time getting to see everyong that I knew from back home and getting to spend some time with everyone!

Then the flight back to Arizona came, and the only way to explain what happened is that God was punishing me for something I did to him and let’s be honest I think that it was His way of saying…..”Do what I say” The kid in the center asile wasn’t bad, he was a skinny kid, but he did not get the memo on how the armrest situation works on a plane. He would switch armrests about every 5 minutes, thus forcing me to switch and it was not easy seeing as how I was attempting to watch a movie on my computer and the lady in front of me had decided that it was a good idea to put her seat all the way back. When she did this I thought to myself “Oh she is going to sleep and that is ok” but alas….she never went to sleep and made it extremely hard for my computer to sit on the seat. So I leaned my seat back a little bit and tilted my computer and all was well. After a few minutes i feel a tap on my sholder from the row behind me and i thought “what does this kid want?” Let me set the scene for the row behind me. there are two kids probably about 12 and 10 who are flying by themselves. They are both a little on the hefty side not a huge deal and on the asile there is a little Roly Poly of a woman. Well when the not to little boys with amazingly small bladders had to go to the bathroom (which was about 5 times)…side note to Southwest airlines it should be a rule that if someone uses the bathroom more that once, you are to cut off their soda privlidges………so many times I had to put my seat up so these kids could get through, remember that my tray table is down and the seat in front of me is leaned all the way back….not an easy thing to manage. In addition to them there was a small child who would walk to the front of the plane every 30 minutes and then walk all the way to the back and then sit down (the last few times her mom joined her….just wierd) Then this Jumbo in the front row would stand up every hour and to be honest I have no idea how the plane didn’t shift when this man moved so kudos to you Mr. Pilot. And when I think things are getting better the Roly Poly behind be decides it is time for her to go to the bathroom and uses my seat to support all of her weight (which was alot of it) to stand up so I am all leaning all the way back and then she stumbles and flippin forearm shivers me in the head…and doesn’t say a word…I thought about tripping her but Jesus wouldn’t do that…I have full confidence that if Jesus were to fly he would get his own row and the winds would always be blwoing behing the plane. So the flight to Phoenix took us a whopping 3 hours and 50 minutes!!!!!!!

What did I do to you Jesus???????????

I got back to Chandler and got back to work as an intern…it’s awesome, I love it here. I love the church, i love my friends, i love the weather. I guess I love everything…..except Austin

So wordpress now has a new layout which is awesome and just makes it that much better than blogger. I really wish my blog could look cool like this guys although I guess when you design blogs for a living, yours has to be cool

It was a little depressing today as I was driving around with my windows down, and at an outdoor reception in a t-shirt and being hot. I realized that it was Novmber 30th and that Christmas is in 3 1/2 weeks. As much as it pains me to say it, it made me really miss home and the colder weather, However I know that when i go home and it is like 3 degrees outside I will definetly be ready to come back to the warm weather of Arizona….oh dear

I have alot of homework that I need to finish in the next few weeks that I have not so much even started yet

The most exciting thing that has happened is that this week we had the Keep Breathing Tour come thorough the area and spend some time here. This tour had Wavorly, The Wedding, and A Current Affair. I had done some shows with Wavorly and ACA before but I have not worked before with The Wedding. Well Wednesday night i ended up helping The Wedding pull a prank on Wavorly and through a wile 24 hours and some crazy events I ended up taking sides with the Wedding and helping them to both pull pranks and to make sure that they were defensive at all times with their stuff. It was the most fun 5 days I think that I have ever had, there was Van hiding, there was sneakyness…there was name calling and the quote to describe the past few days was “Trust Noone” I was the only one that stayed true to The Wedding the whole time. The best part was that I really got to know the guys, and they are the most fun, genuine group of guys that I have met in a long time. I made some great friendships over the past few days, and I know that any time I am within a few hours of these guys that I am going to drive to their show to see them again. So Matt, Matt, Cody, Trevor, Adam and Jake…thanks for a great time and I hope to see you again soon

Obama is the president elect……great……..and don’t take this any wierd way becuase no matter who won I would have said……..great…..because I know that God is in control of what is happening and he rules my life

I voted, and I don’t think anyone needs to know who i voted for, becasue it doesnt matter. And before voting I looked online at both canidates websites and read up on their issues. They both have things that they promise that look great, and they both promise things that I don’t like….but i have been alive for 22 years now and I know that what politicians promise and what actually happens are generally two complete different things.

So my fellow americans here is to the next four years. I hope that Obama can keep our country safe, hope that i can still be proud to call myself an American hope that he can help this economic crisis (which is a post for another day because that is a load of SH*T) Now don’t take this as me not thinking that Obama can do any of these things, because i beleive that he can, I will just be praying for him and my friends in another 4 years we will be watching another election full of lies and people twisting what people say or do into whatever people want it to be. Hopefully next time there will be some clean campaigns……i know hoping for a lot

I will be praying for Obama for his leadership of this country and for the safety of him and his family. I know that their are crazy people out there that still have racist views and I hope that for the sake of our country that they do not attempt to hurt Obama or his family.

I am currently watching McCains concession speach…he is a cool guy!

I am glad the election is over because now I won’t drive down the street and see hundreds of political signs, Whenever I watch TV I won’t see more Politcal ads than I did of actual TV. I am gald that we will not be hearing all of the lies about people. And i am glad that I won’t have to hear uneducated people talk about what is going to happen if one person gets elected president!

I am leaving tomorrow to go to Sacramento to go to this conference. It will be a fun time, and all of the staff from the student ministries is going so party time. Plus there will be some fun people there

I am ready for the election to be over, because I am sick of people making rediculous claims about what will happen if someone gets elected…Just for reference I don’t think that Jesus is basing when he comes back on who wins the United States Presidency…..I could be wrong, if I am let me know in Heaven!

Austin does not thing that I can go all weekend without facebook, so to prove him wrong I am not going to get on facebook at all this weekend. What is more fun than proving him wrong.

Oh and in case you could not tell, my goal in this blog was to put more links in one blog than Austin does……he is an overlinker!

I may update this weekend, who knows it depends on what I am doing and how bored I get, if not will fill yall in on Monday!!

So being the experienced college kid that I am I have created a list of ways that you can make sure that you have enough clothes to last you more than a week and not go broke doing it.

1. Understand that when you have a class before 9:00am it is understood that you woke up about 5 minutes before that class, so it is ok to wear your pajamas, or the clothes that you wore the day before to that class mainly because they were laying in the middle of your floor from when you got back to late the night before

2. Become good friends with someone who works in the admissions department of your school. Their job is to get people to come to their school, and what better way than free T-shirts, that’s right they have access to hundreds of t-shirts that they are supposed to just give away, so if you become friends with them you can convince them to give you shirts

3. Become friends with someone who works in admissions at another college. You don’t want to be the kid that walks around your school everyday wearing clothes that support your own school, then you just look like a tool. Instead if your friends works at another college in the area, it is more than ok to get free stuff from them and wear their their shirts (hence why I have a St. Louis Christian College Shirt, and an Ozark Shirt) Friends that work there give them to me. However don’t get a shirt for you school’s rival…that is a bad idea

4. Hit up the local thrift stores, but don’t be the guy that looks for the stuff there that makes it look like you didn’t get it at a thirft store, buy the rediculous stuff that noone else wants, even the poor people. It amkes you look more awesome

5. Apply for lots of credit cards ( I don’t advise this one, but it works…and screws you over) But the comapnies are always giving away free shirts if you sign up for the cards.

6. Trade with other people in your dorm, there are those clothes that you have and you don’t wear anymore, find someone to trade with you for something that they don’t wear anymore..it is a win-win-win situation because it is like you are both getting new clothes

7. Sucome to the theory that if it doesn’t smell bad, then I must not have worn it yet. If you are like me alot of my clothes just end up in a pile (I don’t really see the need for folding and sorting all my clothes, I can find them in the pile) but you have to pick them up and give them a little sniff. If they have a bad smell to them, don’t wear them but if they don’t smell than by all means put those suckers on again and give it another shot. I have been known to do this with my shorts…heck i still do

8.Don’t waste clean clothes by wearing them to bed. If you sleep in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt (as i do sometimes) don’t put on clean clothes for the night. You are going to take a shower in the morning and it is not like you have to keep from smelling, so go ahead and sleep in the undershirt you wore all day….people will never know, and plus it makes idea #1 that much easier.

9. Get into ministry. Let me tell you friends for some reason companies think that Youth Ministers will like them more if they send them lots of free shirts. Most of the time you don’t even have to do anything to get htem, just put the church info on a little card and next thing you know in comes all the free stuff. Shirts, Hats, CD’s and many other things..I have alot of free ministry shirts

10. Make shirts for something and sell them to people. This kind of fits in with ministry but make a shirt for your ministry, or get involved in a ministry that makes shirts all the time, because the leaders always get a free one so they can sport it and make it look cool

11. Allow yourself to rewear things that you have not worn that much. Like if you wore a certain shirt for like 2 hours to a class. There is no reason to wash it. Wear it again it is not dirty. This is especially true for hoodies and sweatshirts. You can get a good month out of them before you wash them

12. Steal them (another one that I don’t recomend as it will land you in jail, where clothes don’t matter cause they give tem to you, so if you are desperate….) It is a way to get free stuff….

These are just the ones that I could think of at 1:00am so if you have any other suggestions please share them in the lovely comment section so that we can all enjoy them….
